In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

IN A LANDSCAPE Roseburg Friends are sponsoring a, “IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild” concert on September 9th at 5:00 p.m. at the Millpond Recreation Site on Rock Creek.

It will feature pianist Hun Noack performing at a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano.

The concert is a benefit for two local nonprofit organizations, Forest Bridges and the Family Development Center.

The concert commemorates the anniversary of the 2020 Archie Creek Fire, which swept over 125,000 acres of forests in Douglas County, destroying 154 homes. Concert attendees will get an up-close at the relationship between fires and forest health in the heart of Oregon’s logging country.
