Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Wednesday.

An RPD report said just after 10:00 p.m. the 20-year-old was contacted after he was called in for loitering in the 900 block of Southeast Main Street. The man disclosed that he had drank alcohol and was on parole. Officers contacted his parole officer, who authorized a detainer. The man was held without bail.
