ROSEBURG MAN JAILED FOR DRUG CHARGE

A Roseburg man was jailed on a drug charge on Tuesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:00 p.m. units were dispatched to a disturbance in the 100 block of Berry Loop Road in the Green District. A 35-year-old man was detained, and a meth pipe was allegedly located inside of his pocket. The man admitted to having a second pipe inside of his shed. He reportedly gave consent to a deputy to retrieve the pipe.

The disturbance involved some pushing but there was no prosecution desired. The victim was advised of the restraining order process.

The man was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was detained without bail and was released on Wednesday morning.
