Roseburg Police cited a man for drinking in public on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 6:40 p.m. officers contacted the 46-year-old sitting next to an open beer in the 1600 block of West Harvard Avenue. Upon contact, the man poured the beer out and stated he was only drinking it because of the heat. He was issued the citation and then was released.
