ROSEBURG MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED OVERNIGHT DISTURBANCE

A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged overnight disturbance early on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:45 a.m. the 19-year-old allegedly head butted a victim during a disturbance in the 1000 block of Melrose Road, west of Roseburg. The suspect and the victim went to the ground continuing to punch each other.

The fight soon ended, with the victim potentially having a broken nose from the incident. The suspect was charged with fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was detained without bail.
