ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR ALLEGED MAIL THEFT

Roseburg Police jailed a woman for alleged mail theft on Sunday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. the 42-year-old was called in for trespassing at Faith Foundry Church in the 2500 block of West Harvard Avenue. When officers arrived, the woman’s belongings were outside, but she was gone. Officers walked around the building and saw the woman near a row of mailboxes with a stack of mail in her hands. A witness allegedly observed the woman stealing mail from the mailboxes and she was arrested on the charge of mail theft. The woman was detained without bail.
