Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged assault incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 11:50 p.m. officers responded to the 900 block of Southeast Stephens Street and found a victim bleeding heavily from the nose. The victim claimed the suspect punched him in the nose and fled the scene. The suspect was found hiding in a bush nearby. He was taken into custody without incident and was transported to corrections. Bail was set at $6,250.
