A transient was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct on Friday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 6:50 a.m. the 35-year-old was allegedly being disorderly sitting in the middle of the 400 block of Main Street in Myrtle Creek. The man reportedly caused a string of approximately 12 cars to stop as he was sitting in the road.
A driver honked and told the man to move. The suspect allegedly responded by threatening the driver with violence. He exited the roadway and went into a nearby business, disrupting it and bothering customers. He was not cooperative with the deputy as he was questioned and asked to move along. The man was taken into custody and transported to corrections, where he reportedly continued to be disorderly. He was detained without bail.
