ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED PRIOR STRANGULATION

Roseburg Police jailed a man Monday night for an alleged prior strangulation incident.

An RPD report said at 8:30 p.m. officers contacted 30-year-old Cory Sanders regarding the past disturbance in the 2000 block of Northeast Stephens Street. During their contact with Sanders, officers learned that he had reportedly punched a victim several times in the face and strangled her during an altercation on May 25th. This allegedly took place in the presence of a minor child.

Sanders was charged with felony counts of strangulation and assault in the fourth degree. He was detained without bail.
