A Roseburg area man was jailed in an alleged menacing case on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said the victims in the incident live in a camp trailer on the suspect’s property in the 600 block of Buzz Mountain Road, in the Lookingglass area, and have been doing so for a year.

The property owner’s behavior has reportedly been escalating, with alleged threats to shoot one victim and the trailer he lives in. The victim’s claimed the man has been driving up and down the road recently and firing rounds from an AR or 9mm in an unknown direction. The victims had left Wednesday night due to the man’s behavior and returned on Thursday morning.

When they returned, the property owner had reportedly driven down the road with his rifle pointing out the window at one victim. The man then returned to his residence and sat on the porch with his rifle. The victims decided to gather some belongings and leave.

At 10:10 a.m. Thursday a deputy applied for and was granted a search warrant for the property and the owner. The Tactical Response Team was called out and the suspect was located outside the main residence on the property. The man denied pointing his firearm at the victim, other than to protect himself.

66-year-old Tyrone Lammey was charged with two counts of menacing, pointing a firearm at another, and unlawful use of a weapon. Lammey was detained without bail.
