Roseburg Police cited a man for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway on Monday.

An RPD report said at 11:50 a.m. the 54-year-old was contacted on the backside of the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce office in the 400 block of Southeast Spruce Street. The area where the man was located was only about 75 feet from the edge of the South Umpqua River. The man reportedly had trash scattered around where he sat, as well as around his large wagon. He was released after the citation was issued.
