Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge or resisting arrest and for a probation violation on Monday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. officers contacted the 33-year-old in the 500 block of Northeast Stephens Street after employees of the business called and wanted the man trespassed. During the contact, the man was reportedly smoking marijuana, which is a violation of his probation. The man’s probation officer authorized a detainer.

The man had left the scene but was located a short distance away and was placed under arrest. During the arrest, the man allegedly resisted. He was eventually taken into custody and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $5,000.
