A Myrtle Creek man was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle wreck on Wednesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:50 a.m. an 83-year-old was driving westbound in the 4600 block of North Myrtle Road in the Myrtle Creek area. After negotiating a left-hand corner, the man’s pickup left the roadway on the northside and ended up hitting a tree. That impact flipped the vehicle onto the driver’s side in the middle of the road.

The man was extracted from the vehicle and was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for several non-life-threatening injuries. He is listed in stable condition at last check, by a hospital spokesperson. The pickup was towed from the scene.
