Voter participation remains low in the 2025 Douglas County May Special Districts Election.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 7.64 percent, or 6,685 ballots have been received as of late Wednesday. Loomis said that lags 5.12 percent behind the participation rate in the last special districts election in 2023.

Ballots must be cast no later than 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th.
