Roseburg Police jailed two people following a reported burglary on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 12:45 p.m. a woman reported that the pair had broken into her residence in the 500 block of Southeast Rice Street. The resident said that she was in the process of moving out but still had a significant number of items inside the house. While she was out, the woman reportedly observed two individuals on her camera, who did not belong there. She said they appeared to place items into their vehicle after they apparently had gone into the basement. The woman observed a female and a male on the camera. After placing the video on social media, the woman believed she had obtained the name of the female.

Officers located the 41-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man. Both admitted to going into the basement and taking items from inside. The pair said they took several crystals and three tennis rackets with a combined value of $1,075. The victim identified the items as hers and they were recovered.

Both people were charged with first-degree counts of burglary and theft. They were each detained without bail.
