Nearly 4 percent of ballots have been received for 2025 Douglas County May Special Districts Election as of Friday afternoon.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 3.91 percent, or 3,470 ballots, have been returned. Loomis said that lags 2.99 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the last special districts election in 2023.

Loomis said voters should ensure they read the Voter’s Statement, which they are attesting to when they sign their ballot return envelope.
