Ballots are slowly coming in for the 2025 Douglas County May Special Districts Election.
County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 2.21 percent, or 1.955 ballots, have been received as of late Thursday afternoon. Loomis said that lags 3.01 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the last special districts election in 2023.
Loomis said voters should remember to check their ballot carefully. A vote cannot be changed after a ballot has been cast. Voters can use the Oregon Secretary of State Elections Division’s website at: https://sos.oregon.gov/voting/Pages/myvote.aspx?lang=en to do the following:
*Check to see if you are registered to vote
*View your voter registration information
*Update your voter registration
*Check the status of your ballot
*Find a ballot drop site
Ballots must be cast by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 20th.
