Crews with the Douglas Forest Protective Association have the Barrel Ground Fire northeast of Yoncalla in mop up mode.

DFPA Business Manager Jill Miller said the final mapping size of the fire is 35 acres. 3-20- person handcrews, 6 engines, 4 water tenders, 1 dozer, 1 type 3 helicopter and 1 air attack platform are all assigned to the fire, which was reported late Wednesday morning.

The cause of the Barrel Ground Fire remains under investigation. No further information has been released by DFPA.
