The Bureau of Land Management, South River Field Office has released the 42 Divide

Divide Forest Management Plan Environmental Assessment and unsigned Finding of No Significant Impacts.

A BLM release said the posting of both has initiated a 30-day public comment period.

The BLM has scheduled a public field trip to view forests within the project area and gain a better understanding of the proposed forest treatments. The field trip will be on Thursday, May 15th and will start from the Camas Valley Fire Station on Burma Road in Camas Valley at 9:00 a.m. It should end by around 2:00 p.m.

The release said the field trip will require 4-wheel drive and high-clearance vehicles. Attendees will need to bring their own food, water, and dress appropriately for the weather and field conditions. Carpooling is encouraged.

To ensure the BLM can accommodate those who would like to participate in the field trip, contact: gdeimel@blm.gov, or call 464-3258.
