ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR CRIMINAL TRESPASS ON STATE PROPERTY

Roseburg Police jailed a man for second-degree criminal trespass for being on State of Oregon property on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said at 9:20 a.m. the 35-year-old was contacted because he was camping on Oregon Department of Transportation property under the Stephens Street Bridge near Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. This area is fenced off and clearly posted with “No Trespassing” signs.

The man had been warned for trespass at this location in the past and was taken into custody. He was cited for prohibited camping, his second offense. Bail was set at $1,250.
