ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED THEFT, TRESPASS, AND PROBATION VIOLATION

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged theft and trespass incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 3;00 p.m. officers contacted 30-year-old Joshua Eatherton in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Eatherton reportedly entered Fred Meyer and drank a beer without paying for it. He allegedly placed the empty container back on the shelf and left the business.

Eatherton was previously trespassed from the store for several prior incidents. He admitted to committing the theft. Officers learned the man was on probation and one of his stipulations was no alcohol. His probation officer issued a detainer on top of charges first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft.

Eatherton was detained on $7,500 bail.
