The Umpqua Valley will see sunshine and above normal high temperatures on Friday and Saturday before cooler conditions return beginning on Sunday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury should reach 71 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Friday and around 76 degrees on Saturday. The normal high temperature for this week in April is 63 degrees.

A front coming in on Sunday will bring showers and cooler weather with highs between 60 and the mid-60’s for a few days.

The high temperature at the airport was 61 degrees on Thursday.
