Douglas County government remains actively involved in response and recovery efforts from the March 2025 Flood.

A county release said it is working with local partners including the Douglas Public Health Network, Glide Revitalization, local cities, Cow Creek Tribal Government and local private contractors.

The county’s Emergency Management Department is actively focused on damage assessment and helping homeowners, property owners, businesses and others accurately record and quantify all damage that occurred due to the recent flooding event. The data will be used to hopefully open potential assistance pathways for residents and businesses in the future. This work is being done with the assistance of the Oregon Department of Emergency Management. Businesses, churches, or nonprofit organizations that were impacted by the flooding should report their damage at: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/dbfa37426a0e46cb9f312823b85f90f2

The American Red Cross emergency shelter remains open in the Community Building at the Douglas County Fairgrounds for residents who have been displaced by the flood. Shelter staff can help with meals, basic supplies, and connecting residents with additional recovery resources.

Douglas County Commissioners worked with the Solid Waste Department to create and implement an emergency action adjustment for flood-related wood waste debris and flood-related refuse.
