Roseburg Police charged a woman Sunday with a prior identity theft incident.

An RPD report said on January 4th, a woman used a stolen credit card at a store in the 500 block of Northeast Winchester Street. 36-year-old Jessica Blessent was developed as a suspect, but officers were unable to contact her. Blessent was taken into custody by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for an unrelated case and was transported to corrections.

During an interview, Blessent admitted to using the card after it was given to her to purchase items for another individual in exchange for drugs.

She was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, computer crimes and identity theft. Blessent remains detained without bail.
