Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged assault incident on Sunday night.

An RPD report said at 6:00 p.m. the 46-year-old allegedly stole a victim’s e-bike from the Roseburg Senior Center in the 1400 block of Southeast Mill Street. The victim went to the suspect’s residence to retrieve his e-bike. When the victim grabbed his e-bike off the porch, the suspect reportedly punched him in the face, causing his forehead to split open and his right eye to swell up.

The suspect was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and second-degree theft. He was detained on $12,500 bail.
