The annual state convention of the Oregon Oldtime Fiddler’s Association is scheduled for April 3rd through 5th at the Winston Assembly of God Church on Southeast Darrell Avenue.
With around 200 musicians and fans coming, it will be an ideal place to enjoy shows, jamming, dancing, workshops, food and more.
Public activities take place each day along with educational and fun workshops from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. there will be an Open Mic for acoustic instruments only. Friday night at 7:00 p.m. it’s a band scramble. Saturday at 2:00 p.m. there will be a concert with the Booher Brothers. A food truck will be on site each day.
Workshop offerings include fiddle double stops, youth fiddle, practical music theory, transposing on the fly, youth fiddle and more.
