The filing period for candidates in the 2025 Douglas County Special Districts Election is about to close.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said individuals who wish to file for candidacy for one of the many board member vacancies existing on fire, school, road and many other local districts, must submit their forms and $10 fee to the Clerk’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
