Roseburg Police jailed one person and cited another for prohibited camping early Thursday morning.

An RPD report said at 1:15 a.m. the 41-year-old woman and 67-year-old man was camping at Deer Creek Park in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. This was in a restricted area according to the time/place/manner maps. Additionally, their camp had trash scattered around it.

The woman had two prior camping convictions and admitted the trash belonged to her. The man did not have any prior convictions.

She was jailed for camping and also was charged with depositing trash within 100 yards of water. Bail was set at $7,500. The man was cited and released for a violation count of prohibited camping.
