A Yoncalla woman was jailed on the charge of methamphetamine on Wednesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:00 p.m. a deputy contacted the 34-year-old who was nodding off up against a building in the 2800 block of Eagle Valley Road in Yoncalla.

She had two pieces of tin foil near her. The woman allegedly opened one of them and the deputy noticed a substance inside of it. The woman said it was fentanyl, but she thought it was weird and didn’t like it after she smoked it.

The deputy field tested the substance, and it showed positive for being methamphetamine. The woman was taken into custody. She was detained without bail.
