ROSEBURG HAS SECOND RECORD BREAKING HIGH IN A ROW

Roseburg had a record-breaking high temperature for the date on Friday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 74 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record high for February 28th was 71 degrees, set in 1934.

Friday marked the second day in a row with a record-breaking high for the date. Thursday got to 70 degrees at the airport. The record high for February 27th had been 69 degrees, set in 1938.

March begins with increasing clouds and cooler temperatures. Saturday’s high is forecast to be 61 degrees with a chance of rain by early evening. More precipitation is expected for much of next week.
