Weak high pressure over the Umpqua Valley is leading to two more days of sunny conditions with near record high temperatures for the date.
Thursday’s high in Roseburg should be in the upper 60s with Friday forecast to reach 70 degrees. The record high for Thursday is 69 degrees, set in 1938. Friday’s record high is 71 degrees, reached in 1934. The mercury got to 69 degrees on Wednesday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That was well below the record high for February 26th, which was 79 degrees, set in 1932. Wednesday was the warmest day of 2025 so far.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a weak front will move into the region late Saturday afternoon or early Saturday evening bringing more rain. A chance of precipitation is expected to continue into next week.
