A Myrtle Creek man was jailed for a reported assault incident on Tuesday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:15 p.m. a victim reported a disturbance between himself and 35-year-old Jared Garren, in the 7000 block of Dole Road. Garren reportedly struck and shoved the victim into a wall and a window, causing an injury. The suspect also allegedly shoved the victim to the ground and choked him around the neck, until the victim passed out.
