Roseburg Police jailed a woman for an alleged hospital disturbance on Sunday afternoon.

An RPD report said at approximately 2:25 p.m. officers contacted 53-year-old Melanie Mills at CHI Mercy Medical Center after she allegedly created a disturbance inside the emergency room waiting area and refused to cooperate with security staff.

Mills reportedly refused to leave the property and was eventually taken into custody. During the arrest, Mills allegedly attempted to headbutt, bite and kick officers before being placed into the back of a patrol vehicle. She was charged with resisting arrest, and second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and trespass. Mills was detained on $5,000 bail.
