A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10:00 a.m. Monday through 1:00 a.m. Tuesday for much of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said strong winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected. Stronger wind gusts are possible within thunderstorms.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County. It applies to the cities of Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, Cave Junction and surrounding areas.

Forecasters said gusty winds will blow around and damage unsecured objects. Tree damage is likely, and power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Motorists should use extra caution. Residents should secure outdoor objects to prevent damage or loss.
