Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged disorderly conduct on Friday.
An RPD report said at 5:25 p.m. officers responded to the 800 block of Southeast Stephens Street after a caller said a man had attempted to light a fire in a utility closet on the fourth floor of the Rose Apartments.
Officers reviewed security footage and contacted 39-year-old Marcus Simone outside the complex. Simone matched the individual in the footage and admitted to being in the closet before being kicked out after the event. He was taken into custody without incident.
Simone was charged with second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and for a probation violation. The man was detained without bail.
