The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has concluded its investigation into the apparent homicide/suicide in Yoncalla that was discovered on Friday January 31st.

A DCSO report said deputies had responded to the residence in the 100 block of Williams Road at approximately 10:20 p.m. Upon arrival, a deputy observed two people down inside the residence and forced entry. The deputy confirmed that the two individuals were deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

Detectives determined that the incident was a result of a homicide/suicide domestic violence situation. It was determined that 68-year-old Steven Curtis Bolin shot and killed his wife, 62-year-old Michelle Bolin before turning the gun on himself.

No additional updates are expected in this investigation.
