The City of Roseburg has extended the deadline to apply for a vacant position on the Planning Commission.
A city release said the new deadline is Friday, February 14th at 5:00 p.m.
The commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month to consider long and short-range land use development issues within the city and the urban growth boundary. It consists of seven citizens appointed by the city council.
The Planning Commission reviews and takes action on land use and development projects based on the provisions of the City of Roseburg Land Use and Development Regulations. The commission reviews and acts on Quasi-Judicial applications and on legislative applications. While some actions are a recommendation to the city council for final consideration, other decisions are final unless appealed to the city council.
The current vacancy requires residency within the city limits. The person selected will serve until the end of 2028.
Those interested in applying can complete the Planning Commission application and email it to: info@roseburgor.gov
