Roseburg Police jailed a man for prohibited camping and offensive littering on Monday.

An RPD report said at 3:00 p.m. the 54-year-old was contacted at his tent in the 2100 block of Northwest Aviation Drive. It was set up against the Marion Carl memorial on the southwest corner of the airport property.

The camp reportedly had trash all around it, consisting of food waste, food wrappers and paper scraps. The camp was set up during a prohibited time, at a prohibited place and in a prohibitive manner. The man had two prior convictions for prohibited camping.

He was taken into custody and detained on $10,000 bail.
