Roseburg Police dealt with a three-vehicle accident in the afternoon commute on Monday.

An RPD report said at 5:00 p.m. officers responded to the wreck at the corner of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard.  An SUV was traveling eastbound on Garden Valley Boulevard through the intersection with Stephens Street. A pickup was headed northbound on Stephens Street when the driver reportedly drove into the oncoming traffic lane, drove through a red light and attempted a left turn westbound onto Garden Valley Boulevard when they crashed into another SUV.

The pickup proceeded and then crashed into the second SUV. It continued and ultimately stopped over the median, going into oncoming traffic on Garden Valley Boulevard. The pickup driver claimed that she had blacked out and didn’t remember the incident.

Officers obtained video footage of the wreck as well as multiple witness statements. All parties refused medical attention. All three vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
