Sutherlin Police are seeking a man in connection to a stabbing which took place Sunday night.

Captain Kurt Sorenson said just after 7:20 p.m. officers responded to the 500 block of South State Street on a report that an adult female had been stabbed. Sorenson said the victim was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center and was later released. The incident is believed to have occurred in the 1200 block of Blossom Court.

Sorenson said the victim is a 33-year-old Sutherlin resident. 45-year-old Raymond Ketchem is being sought by SPD for questioning regarding the incident. Sorenson said Ketchem is not believed to be a danger to the public at this time, but caution is advisable. Anyone with information about the stabbing or Ketchem’s whereabouts is asked to call SPD at 459-2211.
