Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged trespass incident early Wednesday.

An RPD report said just before 1:30 a.m. officers responded to the 2600 block of West Harvard Avenue regarding a possible burglary. Officers contacted a 41-year-old, who had allegedly gone behind a locked fence and taken numerous cans out of a dumpster.

The business owner was contacted and wished to pursue criminal charges.  The man was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. He was detained on $2,500 bail.
