Roseburg Police jailed a man for unauthorized use of a vehicle on Sunday.

An RPD report said at 10:00 a.m. officers contacted 29-year old Jacob Sellman regarding a stolen sedan. Officers saw the vehicle driving south on Northeast Stephens Street and attempted to stop it. Before the officer was able to turn his vehicle around, the sedan accelerated at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was located shortly after trying to turn around at the end of Northeast Louise Court. Sellman was taken into custody without incident. The driver also had a warrant for his arrest.

Sellman was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and for the warrant. Bail was set at $5,000.
