Douglas County Commissioners Tim Freeman, Tom Kress and Chris Boice have announced that most county government offices will be closed on Monday for observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
A county release said this includes the courthouse, Justice Building, Courthouse Anex in Reedsport, landfill and transfer stations, fairgrounds and all external government offices.
There are exceptions:
The Douglas County Museum of History and Natural History in Roseburg and the Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum in Winchester Bay will be open on Monday for normal business hours.
All county operated parks, campgrounds and boat ramps will continue to be open and accessible to the public.
Salmon Harbor Marina and the Winchester Bay RV Park will remain open.
Even though the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office lobby entrance will be closed on Monday, deputies, 911 communications and other DCSO staff will continue to provide law enforcement protection and emergency assistance for residents. Those with an emergency can still call 911, People who need to reach dispatch for a non-emergency situation can call DCSO at 440-4471.
