City of Roseburg building will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
A city release said that means that City Hall, the Public Safety Center, Roseburg Public Library and other buildings will not be open to the public. Police and firefighters will continue to provide public safety throughout the holiday.
The holiday honors the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., the civil rights leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner who was assassinated on April 4th,1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 39 years old.
Lobbies at City Hall and the Public Safety Center, both on Southeast Douglas Avenue, are normally open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Roseburg Public Library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
