The Oregon State University Extension Service in Douglas County will have a one-day workshop for young people to learn public speaking and presentation techniques.

An extension release said the workshop will be held on Monday, February 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the extension office on Southeast Douglas Avenue, just east of the courthouse.

Designed for youth from ages 9 to 19, this class will touch on things like poise when speaking, voice, tone, and much more. Attending the workshop will help equip any youth member with tools to gain confidence in their speaking abilities, whether it is for competition or speaking with others.
