ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a traffic stop on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said at 11:30 p.m. the 50-year-old was stopped for a traffic violation on Interstate 5 northbound near the Garden Valley Boulevard exit. The driver returned with a license that had been revoked.

The man was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.

He was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while suspended and unlawful possession of meth. The man was cited for driving uninsured and failure of a previous violator to file. He was detained without bail and was released on Wednesday.
