Roseburg Police cited a man Sunday for an alleged prior incident.

An RPD report said the 69-year-old was a suspect in a theft case. He was contacted in the 1100 block of Northeast Stephens Street just before 5:00 p.m. The man admitted to stealing a ladder from a business in the 2600 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard earlier in the day.

He was detained and transported to his residence where he provided officers with the stolen ladder. The man was cited for second-degree theft and then was released.
