January 11, 2025 6:00 a.m.

A Myrtle Creek woman was jailed following an alleged weapon violation on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at about 1:30 p.m. a victim called dispatch and said she and another victim confronted the suspect at a residence in the 6100 block of Dole Road for possibly stealing a package meant for the first victim.
The first victim claimed that the 29-year-old suspect became upset with both victims, grabbed a firearm and pointed it at the victims, making them afraid for their lives.

The suspect was contacted and admitted to having the firearm and waving it around, but said she did not point it at the victims. She was taken into custody and charged with two counts each of menacing and pointing a firearm at another. The woman was detained without bail and was released on Friday.
