A Myrtle Creek man was jailed for a reported disorderly conduct incident early Wednesday morning.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:30 a.m. deputies were sent to a trailer park in the 800 block of North Old Pacific Highway after a caller said a man was waking up the residents of the park by screaming, yelling and repeatedly slamming his car door and the hood of his car.
An officer from the Myrtle Creek Police Department arrived and could hear the 30-year- old from inside his trailer which was over 50 yards away. Law enforcement attempted to contact the man who reportedly said if the police came near him, he was going to fight. The man allegedly refused to come out, and instead continued yelling at law enforcement and turning up the music inside his trailer to the point that it could be heard throughout the park.
The man was advised multiple times that he was under arrest and said he would not come out unless a warrant was obtained. The man did exit the trailer after approximately 50 minutes of negotiations.
He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The man was detained without bail.
