Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft incident on Friday.

An RPD report said at 2:15 p.m. officers took the 58-year-old into custody after he allegedly went on the property of a residence in the 600 block of West Ballf Street and stole a package off the porch.

The man was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $2,500.
